2022 Hurricane Ian Deployment: FL-TF2 deployed a Type 1 team with water rescue capabilities to Fort Myers Beach, the hardest hit area by the storm’s catastrophic flooding and destruction. The team conducted wide-area search and rescue operations, waterborne and UAV search and recovery, and structural assessments while providing humanitarian aid to impacted residents. A key factor in the mission's success was the integration of SARCOP  and GIS (Geographic Information Systems), which allowed the team to make data-driven decisions for FL-TF2 as well as other Florida and Federal USAR Teams.
